Full Spectrum is Wake Tech’s GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance),  a student-led club that provides a safe space for students of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expression to connect, learn and grow. Full Spectrum is here to provide an inclusive, safe, aware, and accepting environment for LGBTQ+ identified students and their allies.  We facilitate educational, service and social activities in order to provide support for and fellowship with one another, to nurture connections to the wider LGBTQ+ community and to foster understanding and respect, both on campus and beyond.

What is a GSA?

A GSA is a student-led club that provides a safe space for students of all sexual orientations and gender identities and expression to meet and provide support for and fellowship with one another. A GSA fulfills social, support, and educational roles in an academic community.

Full Spectrum is here to provide an inclusive, safe, aware, and accepting environment for LGBTQ identified students and their allies.  We facilitate educational, service and social activities in order to provide support for and fellowship with one another, to nurture connections to the wider LGBTQ community and to foster understanding and respect, both on campus and beyond.

Full Spectrum Mission

The mission of “Full Spectrum” is to:

  • Foster an inclusive, safe, aware, and accepting environment where students can comfortably pursue their education regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
  • Enrich the lives of LGBTQ students and their allies by offering educational, service and social activities that connect students to each other as well as to the wider LGBTQ community.
  • Increase unity and tolerance within the Wake Tech student body through outreach activities that nurture understanding and respect.
