Human Services Conference and Club

Hello,
We are just about done with this semester, tempus fuget.  The Human Services conference is being held in Sanford on November 7th where there will be a variety of workshops in Domestic Violence, maybe PTSD and returning vets, a panel of students discussing Human Services education and employment options.  The cost is $25.00.  Human Services club members interested in being awarded a scholarship can email Terri Hamrick and submit your name.  We hope to have more specific details that will be posted promptly.

Club Meeting Change:  Since our next scheduled HS club meeting is on election day, we decided to hold the meeting next Tuesday at 5:00, in HS 419.  This will give us a chance to choose the scholarship awardees, discuss meeting times and transportation.  We will also make discuss the Substance Abuse Career Expo on November 19th in Greenville.  That information is posted on this site and all are eligible to go.  Again, club members can put their  name in the hat for free transportation to the event.

The club is grateful to Rhonda for volunteering to work on the new blog with Courtney Strickland.  If there is anyone else interested in working on the blog please contact Courtney at ccstrickland1@waketech.edu
