International Day

When: November 5, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

What happens:

Wake Tech students, representing their home countries or the countries of their ancestors, all get together on the second floor of Students Service Building (SSB) on the Main Campus to share (and even sell) food and other merchandise indicative of the different countries being represented.  The students also get up on stage to demonstrate cultural ceremonies, dances, or even songs for everyone to enjoy.  Usually, the Moroccans get up with their traditional instruments and everyone has a great time spinning and dancing the day away!

We also invite vendors to come and sell their wares or services.  For instance, we usually have one or more persons doing henna tattoos.  We invite anyone interested in participating to contact the International Friendship Club Advisor, Michael T. Jones (see Advisor), for information on how to get involved.

Who can come: Wake Tech students and faculty members and visitors (with permission).
