Ask Yourself – Katelin Davis

Ask Yourself

By Katelin Davis

All of a sudden, I began to think…

What if I pushed myself to the brink?

What if I learned all data, factoids, and calculations?

And how much deeper does it get than mathematical equations?

Do you need to be a genius or just have a little patience?

I’m dreaming BIGGER than that; this requires braveness.

This could be the formula for everything that saves us.

You see, tragedy is occurring every corner that we turn,

Murders and robberies and convicts who never learn.

Children are starving yet we throw out the leftovers;

People are wishing on falling stars and four leaf clovers.

Are these the drastic measures that we have been destined to?

Ask yourself: have you ever thought to help those who have less than you?
