Architecture Club Meeting Minutes – October 9, 2014

Hey everybody!

So, I have lost my minutes from last Thursday’s meeting. I’m sincerely sorry, and it will not happen again. However, I remember most of what we talked about, so HERE GOES:
We have gotten approval for Saturday’s event! WHOO HOOOOOO! For those who don’t know, it will be our yardsale & corn hole tournament. First prize will be a $50 sheetz gas card, second and third prize will each be $25 restaurant gift card, and everyone who purchases a ticket will receive a chick-fil-a gift card. The yardsale will begin set up at 6 am (don’t worry guys, coffee and donuts will be provided) We will be open for customers at 7am. Corn hole will begin at 1130am. Each member who sells 10 tickets (for $10 each) will receive FREE ENTRY TO THE TOURNAMENT. If you haven’t received any tickets to sell, and you’d like to, please respond and I will make sure they get to you.

We need people to participate in the pricing on Friday at 4:00pm. The more people we have, the faster we can get through it.

A BIG THANK YOU to Matt, Crystal, Trashanna, Patricia, Michael F., and Juan for joining me at Habitat for Humanity this past weekend.
Another BIG THANK YOU to Susan, Jessica (WTAC Alumni) and Michael J. for joining me at the AIA Triangle Residential Tour.
Both of these events were a wonderful time and we learned a lot.

ATTIRE TO INSPIRE is being held tomorrow, 10/15 in the Student Services Building. They will have several resources for those of you job hunting and planning for internships in the summer and information about professional preparedness.

I didn’t hear from anyone about a firm you would like to tour, and I only got one person that said they would be interested. If there is more interest, I will gladly do what I can to make it happen, but I would like to know that you are interested in participating and learning. Keep me posted, friends!

I would love to hear more from you guys about what you are interested in and what you would like some tutoring sessions about.
