The Diagnosis

“The Diagnosis” by Berna’ Kennedy

Tormented by the mind the thoughts seemed to jump around as if they knew no end.

Mornings of joy, nights of darkness everyday as If this normal was the ongoing trend.

Searching for an outlet to scared to speak up, the world deaf to silent cries.

Motioning for a release hands tied down as if they lost their way to signal for help which was the reason for this demise.

Trapped in the very body which fails as we speak, motionless just but a breath.

It creeps like it knows its unwanted but when it grows it leaves you to linger until there is nothing left.

It finds its home centered in the very depths of your despair.

Wanting to end it in mid stride but as it releases it leaves the trace and drapes one in agony like the clothes you wear.
